Here are a few shots of our Christmas/New years trip. We spent the better part of the first day digging a trench to the front door...then it snowed about a foot that night and all the snow on the roof fell off right infront of the door....was hilarious. Theres also a pic of one of the neighbours cabin..just to show how much snow was up there.

We went up for almost a week on August 22. We met some new neighbours and Charlie was happy to know they have kids! Got lots of work done, tiled the furnace room floor, replaced some fascia and soffetting.
A few shots
of a nice
sunset we had
one night.
From our
frontyard.
This is the
prime
marshmallow
roasting spot.
Charles just
wishing he
had that key.
Our luxurious
and spacious
bathtub. We
have no running
water, so we had
to make bubbles
with an egg beater ;)

Here are a few new pictures from July. We went up at the beginning of the month and the bugs were horrible. All the flowers were in bloom though so it was really beautiful. Got absolutely no work done on the house but we brought the dune buggy so we had lots of fun.
This is the view from our front yard
Charlie checking out the bugs
The bugs
Here's a great shot of a storm that blew through one evening. It poured rain, hailed and the thunder and lightning shook our little house like crazy. About half an hour later it was blue sky again.
Here is a shot of the houses on the hill
I was trying to get a shot of the moon here, but you can hardly see it.
This was taken on the road to the mine, looking down at Hendrix Lk.
The General Store. The roof has collapsed in the front portion of the store, from what I understand it was being re-po'd by the bank and the owner took a chain saw to the beams...and there it sits.
This is where the road to the mine is de-activated. You can get through with an atv, the mine is about 2km from here. Still haven't gone all the way up there. We did walk down another de-activated road and I thought I was going to get eaten by a bear....
Bosk Lake...pre-crazy summer campers. I love this beach.
The old tennis court, lots of trees growing in it now.
Another shot of the store and someones camping spot.
Charlie and Parker enjoying the view. (and not beating on eachother for a change)

Here are a few recent photos of Hendrix Lake. I will be heading up again next week and will take some more and post them when I get back...let me know if there's something you want to see!
Beautiful March morning at Hendrix Lake
Making our way to the ball field over the mountain of snow the plow leaves.
Looking down towards the Tennis court and club house.
A few of the houses along the waterfront.
Another view of the ball field.
I would love to get some old shots on here of the mine and town when it was active, if you have please let me know at chas7@telus.net
